Food for Thought...

11 March 2019

Should food be allowed in our Chelmsford library?

The library in Chelmsford is reviewing its food policy!

At present, our current policy is to not allow any food in our libraries (just lidded drinks please) and we are currently reviewing the policy at each of our sites individually to see if anything needs to be changed. Following a large number of interviews with students in Cambridge we have now turned our attention to finding out what our Chelmsford library users think should or shouldn't be allowed in the library's study spaces.

For Chelmsford students we have created an online survey that we’d love them to fill out to tell us what they think about having food in the library, whether it’s good, bad or somewhere in between, we want to hear it! We want to ensure everyone's voices are heard, so make sure you use it!

The Chelmsford survey will be running from the 11th to the 23rd of March and if you’re on campus,  keep your eyes open for our display from the 18th to the 23rd of March.

Thank you to everyone who has already taken part in the interviews at Cambridge to tell us what they thought about the food policy and we will be looking at collecting data from Peterborough library very soon.

Take our survey here!
