Physical Access to the Library Reading Room at ARU Peterborough

Getting there

Directions to ARU Peterborough are available online on the ARU Website.

There are good public transport links to the campus from Peterborough city centre. The main bus station is adjacent to Queensgate shopping centre and several Citi buses head towards the Embankment area and make a stop on Bishop's Road.

Disabled parking spaces are available on-site and there is same level access from the car park to the main entrance and into the University House building.

When to visit

The Library Reading Room is open Monday to Friday and has the same opening hours as the University House building. Opening times may be different during term and vacation periods.

Many resources are available online, including e-books and online journals, and can be accessed on our website.

Orientation

The Student and Library Services helpdesk is located on the ground floor near the main entrance and there is lift access to the Library Reading Room, which is on the first floor. There is a self-service machine in the Reading room which will allow you to borrow and return books.

The Library Reading Room contains all the book stock and some study spaces. The Library Reading Room is set up for quiet individual study and there are group study areas throughout the building if students need to work together on a project.

Toilets

There are no toilets in the Library Reading Room. The nearest toilets to the Reading Room are just outside of the Reading Room, on the left-hand side. There are toilets on every floor of University House.
