We offer 30 minute appointments with a Subject Librarian either ONLINE or IN-PERSON.

You can get help with finding and using resources for your assignments or projects. We have some online guidance to get you started.

What can I expect from a Book a Librarian appointment?

You get 30 minutes with a subject librarian to discuss how to find and evaluate information for your projects. We can look at your search strategies, suggest resources, go through advanced searching techniques, and advise on managing your references.

How do I book an appointment?

  1. Choose an online or in-person appointment
  2. Choose the subject area you are studying
  3. Choose from the available time slots
  4. Complete the booking form with the details of what you would like help with

What can we help you with?

We can help you if you are struggling to find the right kinds of information for your project. We can’t do your searching for you, nor can we look at your essay structure or academic writing (please see SSP for that sort of help). We can give general advice on referencing but won’t be able to check through your reference list.
