Known Issues with Electronic Resources
Gale are aware of an issue with users accessing resources through Shibboleth on Chrome receiving an “Testing 1,2,3” error site. They are currently working on a solution. In the meantime users can either disable Samesite (chrome://flags/#same-site-by-default-cookies) in Chrome or access through Microsoft Edge or Firefox Browsers.

BoB - 6th August
BoB is undergoing essential system maintenance between 08.00 and 17.00 Hrs on Thursday 6th August.
During this time users will not be able to record programmes and programmes might be marked as “unavailable” in the programme guide (EPG). Streaming content will not be affected.

Change of platform for Dawsonera e-books
Most of our Dawsonera e-books have now been transferred to the VLeBooks platform.
We are trying our best to update links from within the Library Search results as quickly as possible. However, until we have completed this work, you will only be able to access these e-books directly through the VLeBooks platform https://www.vlebooks.com/ and choose Sign In with Shibboleth then choose Anglia Ruskin University as the institution

Elsevier Science Direct - problem accessing full text - RESOLVED (02/06/20)
Elsevier are aware of an issue opening full text. They advise customers to download articles from the search results page as an alternative solution (this may mean you have to search for the article you want on the elsevier platform).
On the results screen check the box of the item you want to download, then clicking the download icon. A zip file containing the pdf will be downloaded.

ProQuest lifting restrictions on ebooks as a response to pandemic
Starting next week, ProQuest Ebook Central customers impacted by COVID-19 will get unlimited access to all owned titles from these publishers through mid-June. This means that all licenses – including single-user and three-user models – will automatically convert to unlimited access during that period, helping librarians bridge the gap for their patrons in this rapidly changing environment. The unlimited access also applies to additional titles purchased through mid-June.

University of Chicago Press Journals Unavailable from 9pm tonight
The University of Chicago Press Journals Division website will undergo maintenance on Friday, March 13, 2020, between 21:00 - midnight GMT. The website, journal content, and all administrative functionality will be unavailable for up to two hours during this time.

All EBSCO Databases e.g. CINAHL,ERIC,SPORTdiscus,PSYCinfo, etc
There is currently a problem with authenticating onto EBSCO databases. We are in contact with our supplier, who have confirmed "that there is an ongoing issue and currently, there is a high priority service issue ticket created for this problem" . Apologies for the inconvenience this may cause.
NB If you are able to access the platform via a Journal, you will be able to navigate to a database search.
