Summer 2025 Chelmsford Library space refurbishment - update

16 June The 1st floor of the library in Queen's building, including the Wellbeing room, is available again.
16 June to 11 August the 3rd floor of the Library is out of use.
There are still places to study on other floors.
If you want a book from the 3rd floor (starting Dewey number 621 through to 999) during this period, please use the request service and we will send you an email when it is available for you to collect on the Ground floor by the self-service machines.

Sorry for the disruption whilst we make these improvements.

Chelmsford Library Lift Maintenance: Saturday 14th June

On Saturday 14 June, there will be essential maintenance carried out on the lift in Queens Building Library Chelmsford.

As a result, it will be out of use from 08:00 until and expected completion time of 16:00.

There will be noise disruption as there will be drilling.
