How your Library can help you

As assignment deadlines approach, we’ve put together some information to help you study while managing stress and improving your wellbeing. If you’re in our campus libraries over the next couple of weeks take some time to look at the displays in our libraries.

Library Help Desk – Your first place to ask if you need help while you’re studying in the library. If we can’t help you, we’ll know who can!

Frequently Asked Questions – Find the answers to your library questions in our frequently asked questions:  

Phone/Email/Online Chat – If you’re studying off campus, we’re still here to help you:  

Longer opening hours – we’re open even longer during the exam and hand in times. Check the library website for all our opening hours:  

Study space – find a space to study – there are computers, desks, rooms and pods. Find the right study zone for you – group study zone, quiet zone and the silent zone. You can also book a space to study here:  

Text a Talker – tell us about noise! We offer a text-a-talker service at our Cambridge and Chelmsford libraries. If you are being disturbed by noise on a quiet or silent floor, you can contact us by text so that we can address the problem: For Cambridge use 07597525917 For Chelmsford use 07935009871

Subject Guides – Struggling to find sources for your essay? Take a look at your subject guide – written by your subject librarian to help you find what you need to succeed: 

Past exam papers - Preparing for exams? Use the library to search for past papers and give your revision a boost:   

Print/Scan/Copy - Printers are located in various areas of the University Library or PC open access areas and can be used for printing, scanning and copying
