How your library helps to support your wellbeing

This Thursday - 13th March - is University Mental Health Day. We’ve put out displays in our libraries this week to help you find out how you can look after your wellbeing in the library while you study.

Have you seen our Library Health & Wellbeing Guide? You’ll find books and resources for supporting your wellbeing, ideas for keeping your mind and body well throughout your studies as well contact details for where to get further help.

Wellbeing Spaces
If you’re in the library and need to take some time away for yourself from busy study areas why not visit the Wellbeing Space on the 1st floor in Chelmsford Library or the 1st floor in Cambridge Library
Take some time for yourself and discover useful leaflets, information and books to support your mental health and wellbeing.

Wellbeing Book Collection
Did you know we have a wellbeing book collection? Find books on cookery, finance, managing your stress and much more. 

Other ways you can help improve your wellbeing in the library

  • Read to relax - Did you know that reading can help reduce your stress levels? Did you also know that your library holds a fiction collection? Search the library website for books you can borrow, you can request books to be sent across to your campus from our other campus libraries.
  • LinkedIn Learning Wellbeing Playlist - discover short videos and audio in this playlist giving you tips and advice for improving and maintaining your wellbeing
  • Box of Broadcasts - your library gives you access to Box of Broadcasts which stores recorded TV and radio programmes indefinitely for you to enjoy.
