The Library is Here for You...
01 April 2025
We've got your back during exams and deadlines season and beyond.
We're here for you during exams and deadlines....
Here's a reminder of some of the information and services that might help during what can be a stressful time.
Referencing: you can find lots of information about referencing on the library website here. If you use Harvard Cite Them Right, you'll find a wealth of information on their website, including examples for different information sources and space for you to try yourself. This is linked from the page above, with login instructions.
Finding Information: if you're struggling to find information for an assignment, the best place to start is your Subject Guide. These guides are compiled by our Subject Librarians and include advice on finding resources, what databases are available for your subject, and much more. It's a hub of information that's relevant to you. You can also search for exam papers.
Study Skills Plus: there are still upcoming Study Skills Plus workshops run by our Study Coaches and Subject Librarians to give you a boost to your study skills. Find more information here, including the calendar of workshops.
Quiet and group study space is available and we've just moved to 24 hour opening at Cambridge and Chelmsford. Find more information about our opening hours across our four main campuses here. Still need help? Here are ways you can contact us.
And beyond....
This month, we're promoting leisure reading, whether it's to give your brain a break from studying or as something to look forward to once all the work is done. The Reading Agency has collected together compelling research on why reading for leisure is great for your brain and your wellbeing. If you'd like to pick up some leisure reading, we've compiled a Reading for Leisure collection to make things easier. We also have our Libby app with some eBooks and audio books, which is also available through your local library. There are promotions and displays on campus at Cambridge, Chelmsford and Writtle, so if you're around come to the library and take a look.
