Black History Month

02 October 2020

Each year during October Black History Month we celebrate the achievements and outstanding contributions made by people of African and Caribbean descent. We bring into the spotlight Black people who fought for justice and equal rights, who broke barriers and became the first Black person in their field and who contributed in ways that changed the world and the way we think about it.

They say that "knowledge is power" and we need this knowledge now more than ever, as we are witnesses to acts and events that underestimate Black People's lives and history. Knowledge is one of the most effective tools we have to make this world a safer place for all, so we invite you to join us in a journey through history, in order to meet some extraordinary BME people and learn about their amazing lives and how their contributions made our lives better and richer.

Your guide to this journey is here and we are looking forward to meeting you there!
