Queen's building work news

16 October 2020

The Library spaces may be noisy at times due to building works for the next 15 weeks, but we're looking forward to opening your new Student Centre by the end of January 2021.

You may wish to visit the library outside of noisy times so we will keep you informed of the works as they progress based on the contractors plans.

If you're looking for a quiet space to study you could try:
  • Teaching Rooms - You can book a teaching room when it's not in use. These are available 08:00 - 21:00
  • Marconi Building Foyer outside the iCentre - soft seating
  • Marconi Building 1st and 2nd floor - Breakout spaces

There are lots of other spaces around MAB, Queens and Sawyers, including The Link, the Gallery and MAB mezzanine.

If you are wanting to eat too:
  • Rivermead restaurant
  • Tindal cafe 92 area - order something to eat or drink and complete the 'NHS Track and Trace'.
  • First floor of the Tindal Building - There are plenty of comfy spaces to hang out in, plus there's a hot water boiler on the wall, and a microwave which are free to use
